Democracy for the Arab World Now called on Congress to block the Trump administration's proposed $2.8 billion transfer of 40,000 2,000-pound bombs to Israel, according to DAWN. The advocacy group sent letters to every member of the Senate and House on September 18.
DAWN urged lawmakers to introduce and pass joint resolutions of disapproval under the Arms Export Control Act to halt the weapons shipment.
