Abu Abdullah Skeik, an amputee, sits in a corner of the Seraya area in central Gaza City awaiting medical evacuation for treatment abroad, Shehab Wire reported. He has held a medical referral for external treatment in his pocket for two years, but the authorization has never converted into a travel ticket.
The delay has left Skeik stranded without access to the specialized care his condition requires, his evacuation request remaining unfulfilled as the humanitarian crisis in Gaza persists.
