Unexploded ordnances scattered throughout Gaza pose an ongoing threat to civilians, according to reporting on the humanitarian toll of Israel's military operations. Palestinians face the dual danger of continued bombardment and the risk of death or serious injury from ordnance left behind by the Israeli army.
The unexploded devices remain embedded in civilian areas across the territory, creating hazards that persist long after active military operations end in any given location. Children and civilians moving through Gaza's neighborhoods, seeking shelter, water, or other necessities face constant exposure to these hidden dangers.
