Israeli forces killed Izz al-Din al-Beik, head of Hamas's armed wing in northern Gaza, in a strike on an apartment building in Gaza City, Al Jazeera English reported. The commander oversaw the militant group's military operations in the northern section of the enclave.
The strike targeted the residential building in what Israeli forces described as a precision operation against Hamas leadership.
