Muhammad Abu Salah of Jenin launched a small business making handmade rugs after job opportunities outside Palestine diminished following the start of the Gaza war, the Palestine News Network reported. The young entrepreneur drew inspiration for the venture from a TikTok idea he encountered online.
Abu Salah turned to self-employment as employment prospects contracted in the region during the conflict.
