Political consultant Peter Feld characterized the midterm elections as a defeat for Israel's interests, describing them as a rebuke of Trump, the Iran war, and Israeli policy, Mondoweiss reported. He cautioned that the work for progressives is far from over despite gains in the elections.
Feld warned that AIPAC is adapting to changing political dynamics while J Street, a liberal pro-Israel group, is rising in influence. He called on progressives to push for a full arms embargo on Israel and resist what he described as the capture of their newly elected champions by pro-Israel lobbying groups.
