More than 9,123 settlers entered Al-Aqsa Mosque during the days of what is called the Jewish "Sukkot" holiday, Shehab Wire reported. The incursions marked an unprecedented surge, with settlers performing Talmudic rituals and raising flags inside the compound amid heightened security measures.
Muslim worshippers faced restrictions on entry to the mosque during the period, as Israeli forces implemented intensive security procedures throughout the holy site.
