Settlers have pitched tents to establish a new settlement outpost in Wadi al-Zaytoun, south of the village of Umm Saffa in the northern Ramallah area, the Ma'an news agency reported. The encampment marks another addition to Israeli settlement infrastructure in the region.
The new outpost brings the total number of settlement outposts surrounding Umm Saffa to six, according to the report. The establishment of outposts has accelerated tensions in areas north of Ramallah, where Palestinian communities face mounting pressure from expanding settlement activity.
