The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs warned that the humanitarian response in Gaza remains unable to meet the population's needs even as a ceasefire agreement takes effect, Shehab Wire reported. The office cited restrictions imposed by occupation authorities on aid entry as a continuing barrier to effective assistance delivery across the territory.
Winter conditions are sharply worsening the displacement crisis. Displaced Palestinians face mounting shortages of shelter, heating fuel, and food supplies as temperatures drop. The UN agency said the gap between available aid and actual humanitarian demand continues to widen, with vulnerable populations including children and the elderly facing particular hardship as cold weather sets in across Gaza.
