Hamas issued a statement on the twelfth anniversary of the deaths of resistance leaders Raid al-Attar and Muhammad Abu Shamala, alongside commander Muhammad Barhoum, the Shehab Wire reported. The movement, formally known as the Islamic Resistance Movement, commemorated the three figures in a formal statement released on the anniversary date.
The two leaders, referred to by Hamas as "twins of the resistance," were killed alongside Barhoum. The anniversary statement underscored their roles within the Palestinian armed faction and their prominence in resistance operations.
