Israeli soldiers uprooted dozens of olive trees Tuesday along a road connecting the towns of Arraba and Ya'bad, southwest of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, IMEMC News reported. Local sources said Israeli bulldozers and other heavy machinery carried out the operation on both sides of the thoroughfare.
The uprooting occurred in the northern West Bank region, where Israeli military operations have repeatedly targeted Palestinian agricultural land and infrastructure. Olive trees are a central part of Palestinian rural economy and culture, with the harvest season a significant annual event for farming communities across the territory.
