Settlers opened fire on Palestinian olive pickers in the villages of Burqa and Ramin, killing one person and wounding 14 others, the Ma'an news agency reported. The attack occurred as Palestinians worked in their groves during the harvest.
The violence followed a pattern of settler assaults on Palestinians gathering olives in the occupied West Bank during the seasonal harvest period.
