Benjamin Netanyahu accused Arab political parties of benefiting from voter fraud in this week's election, though he provided no evidence for the claim, Al-Monitor reported. Arab leaders dismissed the allegation and countered that Netanyahu, facing potential loss of power, was attempting to delegitimize their record electoral performance.
The prime minister's remarks came as Arab parties secured their strongest showing in Israeli elections. Netanyahu's accusations marked an escalation in his public criticism of the Arab political bloc ahead of coalition negotiations.
